ABOUT US
Meals on Wheel of Benton County formed in 1984, when several churches in Rogers recognized the need to provide food and daily contact to those who due to age or infirmity were isolated and unable to provide meals for themselves. The first meals were delivered on March 11, 1985.
The MOWBC kitchen staff prepare meals from scratch each morning. All clients receive one meal per day, Monday through Friday, with the option of a second meal on Friday for the weekend.
Each meal consists of an entree, two side dishes, a dessert and a drink - 2% milk, orange juice or bottled water.
The cost per meal is $3.85 which is subsidized some by us and others qualify for financial assistance making the meals free to them in some cases.
Meals are delivered each day by wonderful volunteers who donate their own time and vehicles to help those in need.
Our current delivery area is listed below and we are looking to expand into Bentonville, Bella Vista and additional areas within Benton County. For more information on how you can help us expand, click here
MOWBC is a 501c3 non-profit organization and is a member of Meals on Wheels America. All donations are tax deductible and can be designated for specific services such as, purchase of food, subsidization of client fees, operational expenses, etc.
MOWBC receives NO State or Federal funding. We are completely funded by private and corporate donations, grants, organizational fundraisers, food donations and volunteer workers. This enables our organization to serve anyone in the community in need without restriction due to age, income or lack of disability.
